February Writing Challenge! #FebWrite2026
I miss having that month of accountability many of us used to have in November, although November was always a tough month for me to write anyway. So, given that I’m behind on where I want to be for word count, I bring to you the February Writing Challenge!
This is completely unofficial. You can join in if you want, use the hashtag #FebWrite2026 on whatever social media you use.
Goals: You can of course make your own, but I thought of five levels of challenges and made some Canva graphics to go with them.
Basic: 14,000 words. Congratulations! You wrote on average 500 words a day! That’s about a page and a half give or take, every day!
Main: 28,000 words. Congratulations! You wrote on average 1000 words a day! That’s about three pages every day!
Incredible: 42,000 words. Congratulations! You wrote on average 1500 words a day!
Double or Nothing: 56,000 words. Congratulations! You wrote on average 2000 words a day!
Overachiever: Anything over 56,000 words. You deserve all the awards.
Actual prizes? Heck no. Just download one of the graphics and use it if you want to. Or make your own. In fact, I encourage you to go out and buy some gold stars to give to yourself, no matter what you do. Or, better yet, wait until February 15th and buy some of that discount chocolate and save it for the 28th!
